30 years of Outreaches.

For over 30 years Oddments have been performing to churches and prisons ‘free of charge’ and we only ask churches to make a donation towards travel costs.

All prison outreaches costs are totally free of charge.
 
Is there such a thing as a free ticket?

Yes, for those watching an Oddments performance, but outreaches/events whether in with a church service, a prison or a school, all take time and money to organise.

If you add to that the £3000 - £5000 worth of equipment we take with us to most events, as well as the behind the scenes costs that people never see; you soon realise someone is paying for the free tickets. Hidden costs include things such as liability insurance, and hire of a store for the equipment and props. Oddments requires a regular source of income just to keep it going, which is why we launched “Friends of Oddments” to fund our work.

“Friends of Oddments” is a scheme where people donate a fixed amount each month to our charity account. The money is used to subsidise outreach events, purchase new equipment and build props. It also covers professional training and administration costs. To date, thanks to the generosity of the members of ‘Friends of Oddments,’ we have worked with over 50 churches, 5 prisons and some local schools.

Can you support us with a small donation of £2 a month?:

We need more people to support our work. “Friends of Oddments” costs a minimum amount of a £2 a month or £15 pounds yearly. Our supporters receive regular newsletters.

We believe that a lot of people supporting our work with a small contribution each month will make a big difference.
